I am Luisa K, born in Uzbekistan to an Uzbek mother and a Crimean Tatar father, and spent my childhood in constant motion due to my family’s work-related relocations. This exposure to diverse traditions and cultures enriched my perception of nature, which is vividly reflected in my love for vibrant colors in my artworks.
After moving to Italy, I gradually discovered my calling in painting, a medium that allowed me to explore and express my inner world. Over the years, I have deepened my artistic education by continuously visiting European museums and immersing myself in art books. In the last five years, I have significantly intensified my artistic endeavors, enthusiastically dedicating myself to discovering and applying new techniques. My ongoing quest for artistic growth was further enriched by courses and masterclasses conducted by Slava Korolenkov, a renowned Russian impressionist.
Now, I reside on the shores of Lake Garda, an environment that provides me with an inexhaustible source of inspiration. My preference for still-life painting enables me to express my affinity for the interplay of light and color, with a special emphasis on oil paints.
